Blind Addiction
You tell yourself it’s ok
You say you smoke weed every day
Because it’s harmless
You say you smoke tobacco
Because it relieves stress
You drink on the weekends
With the excuse that
You hang out with friends
You drink coffee in the morning
Because you can’t sleep at night
Stop lying to yourself
You know it’s just a crutch
You use these drugs
Because you can’t fucking deal with life
Going through day to day
Because you can’t handle the pain
Your life sucks

not only does this sound like a fifth grade poetry attempt, but weed is hardly a crutch. more like a way to improve everything. theres a difference between drug abusers and drug users.

ReplyDeleteI said I didn't know if this was actually any good(plus it wasn't meant to be poetic, just shitty punk complaining song/lyrics). :D And that was the point of the writing, to show drug abuse in disguise, not drug use.
